If you have lived in the pacific northwest for a while, you are probably familiar with the Renton River Days. If you have never been or even heard of Renton River Days, it is a family festival and community weekend with all kinds of games, activities, community booths, food trucks, a parade, and the all-import Ducky Derby but we will get to that in a bit. This year, the Renton River Days will be held on July 21st to July 23rd.
If you are looking for a fun way to spend a day or even a whole weekend with the family, we cannot suggest giving this a try. Rain or sun, it has always been a blast year after year. There is something for everyone in the family from the little ones to grumpy old pop. Looking to play in a 3-on-3 basketball tournament? check! How about a volleyball tournament? A wine and beer garden? A drone show? How about thousands of rubber duckies?
For nearly 30 years, the Ducky Derby has been a part of summers here in the area. Organized and run by the Rotary Club of Renton it is a sight that everyone needs to see, at least once. If you have seen it before, you know how much fun it is. If you have not seen it before, I am not going to spoil any of the fun but it’s something you should check out this July!
